Around the neighborhood

It's been a good week. Aside from our crazy rain storm, the weather has been amazing and we get outside for walks and playing at the park a lot. The sun is setting around 5:30pm, so we usually walk home from the park in the dark. Activity starts when the sun sets in our neck of the woods.



 

 

 There is something really pretty about a cool desert night with a full moon.

At home, Caleb loves to sit on his Elmo potty. He drags it around the house, and pretty much uses it as a chair or step stool. Maybe that's not a good thing, for when we really try to potty train him, but for now he says he wants to sit on the pot!

 

 The artwork in our playroom grows each week. Ben and Tes do crafts at home, and Caleb does lots of crafts at school. Caleb was out of school a couple of days this week because of the road closures with the conference. They boys did a lot of coloring, painting, and made some Thanksgiving crafts.

 And the Arabic alphabet too. He apparently does not pay good attention during the Arabic lesson, but he is picking up a few words. I really bought the alphabet chart for me, because I just started Arabic lessons at the Embassy, and Caleb and I are on the same level of language ability ;).

 This month they are learning about animals on the farm. The fish, crab, and dinosaur are from another month. They are not farm animals around here.

 And no night is complete without playing with the dump truck and digging in the dirt!
