Things are opening up more here, and today may be the last Friday lockdown after almost 3 months of weekend and/or Friday complete lockdowns. Mosques opened today for people to visit by foot only, and starting tomorrow inter-governanate travel will be permitted, tourist sites and hotels will be open, and restaurants will open with limited capacity. While the situation is getting better in Jordan, it has been sad to see from afar, the events that have been transpiring in the US.
This past week, the Embassy pool was opened and we are able to sign for one 45 minute time slot a week for the big and kiddie pool. We swam in both pools on different days and enjoyed it throughly! One day we got a slot for the soccer field. The kids were looking at the pool waiting for our day to swim:).
Kiddie pool day! Everyone was very excited to go to the pool again.
This girl loves the water!
Another day we went to the big pool. I didn't get any pictures, but rest assured the boys swam like little fish the entire time, and Eliza went up and down the stairs, and she fearlessly jumped off of the side into the water. It has been weird to be some of the only people in and around the embassy at any time, but we are so thankful to have the opportunity to take the kids here to play now, even if it is only a couple days a week. It's the little things.
Benjamin set up an army of stuffies (stuffed animals) on his bed.
This girl loves her baby doll that she calls Tes :). She sleeps with it at night.
This is a field across the street from our house where sheep graze often. Even after 5 years, the sight of watching the sheep and the shepherd stops us in our tracks and we stare (and take pictures and videos) like it's the first time we are seeing this in our neighborhood.
The weather has been great and there has been a lot of plasma car, scooter, and bike riding in this yard.
The jasmine flowers in our yard are back in bloom and they smell lovely!
Goofball using my phone to take selfies.
That's all for this week!
