Dead Sea Fun

We took a quick family getaway before the boys start school this week, and went to the Dead Sea for one night. It's such a fun place to visit, and is a quick 40 minute drive from our home. The boys have been swimming all summer in camp, and they enjoyed swimming in all the pools at the hotel.  The kids pool was a big hit and they made some friends playing with the squirt guns.
The boys love jumping in the water and they learned how to do cannon balls and a front flip on this trip.
They have come a long way with their swimming abilities this summer. We are so proud of them!

We told the boys their challenge of the trip was to float in the dead sea again, and we would reward them with Kinder Eggs and ice cream.  They both floated with us and we were proud of them for getting in the sea again.
And Caleb came back to float with me for round 2!

That evening, I walked down to take pictures of the beautiful sunset. Lots of pretty pink flowers on the walk down.
This is all the salt on the rocks!

And the mud that you can rub all over your body while you bake in the 100 degree sun!

After sunset, Nathan and the boys met me for some....
Well-deserved ice cream!
We woke up this morning and swam for a few more hours before heading back home. It was a fun night away, and now the boys are ready to meet their teachers tomorrow and start school on Wednesday!
