Last week, the boys and I went with some friends to the Citadel downtown to fly kites. It was a beautiful day and the the boys were excited to see some of their friends.
It was a clear day and we had a great view of the city.
The old roman amphitheater is towards the center.
Hardly anybody was there. On the way in they took our temperatures and made us wear masks to get in. One of our friends did not have her mask, so she had to buy one. It was a scam because inside nobody was wearing one.
Our friend brought two kites. One flew great and the other did alright.
From the Citadel, you could see some kites really high up in the air over downtown. We couldn't tell where they were being flown from.

What a fun kite flying picnic kind of day. Awesome you can get to these cool places so close to home. It still amazes me to see pictures of the Roman Ampitheater right in the middle of Amman. Keep on enjoying your time there.

Some excellent kite flying. A beautiful day for it. An interesting place to fly, right in the heart of the city at a location that has went through so very much over the centuries. A good day with friends and a nice outing, with or without masks! Love, Mark and Betty
