This past week, the boys' school had a week of fun activities planned centered around reading, and they called it celebREAD. The past few weeks the school was taking book donations for a book fair that they had on Monday. All the proceeds went to the King Hussein Cancer Center for kids, and it was a big success. The boys brought home some fun new books in English and Arabic. Caleb especially liked his Greek Mythology book, and his other book called Tooter Pepperday. The boys crack up every time it says 'Tooter,' the little girl's name, in the book. Here is Caleb reading his Greek Mythology book to us :).
On Tuesday, Caleb's class went to on a field trip to the Haya Cultural Center downtown. They had different characters read them stories. Looks like they even heard a drama! The kids teachers take lots of pictures and send them on the chat group, so we got to see all the fun they had.
After story time, they played at a park, then came home. Caleb was pooped that evening after his big day.
In Benjamin's class they had lots of stories read to them that day, and the next day he took the same field trip. His teacher is out for the week, so we got much fewer pictures from his class.
When Benjamin was on his field trip, Caleb watched a play at school. We heard something about goats and sheep, maybe a shepherd story? Though Caleb said he was 1 minute late because he was doing homework, and he said the play was really long, 100 minutes!
On Thursday, the entire school had pajama day. The boys were thrilled to wear their PJs to school and to bring in their stuffed animals.
Benjamin is all the way in the back right with one of his girlfriend's Lydia. Both classes were read a lot of bed time stories, and it looks like Benjamin's class laid down for nap time!
Caleb loves to listent to stories. It's one of the few things that he enjoys sitting down to do, along with movies, playing cars and legos.
And the boys are doing well with Tae Kwon Do. Last night they broke another board!

What a fun week at school. CalebREAD was as a big success. Pretty soon Caleb will be reading to all of us. Nice job boys, you broke another board at Tae Kwon Do - Way to go Caleb and Benjamin.
